Hi!! This is a list of tapestry links that I have found while browsing the Internet.
I have no affiliation with most of those listed, but I like their work.
If you have a tapestry/rug site you'd like to add, please contact me.
(Or if your site is listed and you'd prefer it wasn't, please contact me.)
I try to keep the list current, so please report any links that don't work.
Enjoy browsing! -jeanne b.

Mary Lane, Washington
Mary Lane teaches ongoing weekly classes and short term, concentrated workshops in traditional tapestry techniques.
Students learn the basic methods of defining lines and building shapes (highs and lows, aka fulls and hollows),
as well as various color blending techniques. Design, color and cartooning are discussed in the context of individual projects.
The emphasis is on finely woven and technically controlled tapestry weaving and its possibilities as an interpretive medium.
Individualized projects allow every student to work at her, or his own pace.
Lane has been weaving tapestry for over 25 years. She was a founding member of the Scheuer Tapestry Workshop
(later, Center for Tapestry Arts) in New York City. She has taught at colleges across the country.
Her work resides in private, public and corporate collections. Her work can be seen
on the web at http://pacificrimtapestries.home.att.net and at http://tapsnw.home.att.net. Click on Mary's name to email her.
